We are happy to accept your submissions of new plays and musicals. Please follow these guidelines.
We only accept unsolicited scripts from literary agents, entertainment attorneys and through professional recommendation. All others should submit a brief synopsis (1 to 3 pages), a CD of the music if it is a musical. a cast and scene breakdown, bios/resumes of the authors as well as those of any other persons attached to the project. Please also include a production history (if any) and a cover letter describing the piece and your goals.

Please understand that we receive a large volume of scripts that go through an extended appraisal period with our committee of readers who read all of the incoming submissions. Each committee member comments and scores each submission. We have a point system we use based on 10 different criteria points that each reader submits along with a comment sheet. It's not as technical or as cold as it sounds but it does take time. We've developed this process so each piece is given the attention it deserves. Scripts are discussed at following regular committee meetings and some are recommended to move on to be considered at the next of our four main sessions held each year where we look at each submission in more detail. It is during those sessions that we determine if we want this piece scheduled for a reading, a workshop or a production. Often there are scripts we like (even love) but we don't feel we have the right opportunity available for a project of that type, size or genre and so we keep it on file for possible future development of production.
