1. We need a permanent home. Hopping around from place to place we’ve had to create a theatre where none existed for example the VFW Hall and Carousel house. The cost to do this is very expensive; platforms, seating, lighting and sound. A permanent space allows us to build a solid infrastructure enabling us to lower our productions cost tremendously. The identity of our own space will help place us firmly in the community of Asbury Park.

2. Ticket sales cover less than half of our expenses. Producing quality professional theatre is costly. Theatre by its very nature is highly labor intensive. It requires actors, musicians, designers, technicians, box office personal, ushers and office administrative workers. Other industries are able to automate but not theatre. Contributed income is vital to our existence.

3. Destination Markets/ Economic Impact. You can help make Asbury Park a first choice destination. Theatre companies within a community add greatly to the destination market. They increase length of stays and thereby increase visitors’ dollars in the community, on average an additional $30.00 is spent per person on food, shopping and lodging. Our productions of HAIR and THE FULL MONTY were attended by over 6,000 people, with more that 40% of them traveling more than 20 miles to attend.

4. Community Involvement. Your help creates community through audiences coming together, volunteers working side by side, internships for students, and full time employment.

5. Diversity. Your support allows us, to strive to create work for the diverse population of Asbury Park and the surrounding areas. Our production of KINGDOM, a new hip-hop musical, was attended by over 20 groups, many students and over 70% of them had never attended a professional live theatre production before.
