ReVision Theatre is a professional regional theatre company dedicated to producing invigorating theatre with a fresh new perspective. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization and are registered with both the New York and New Jersey Charities Registration Bureaus.
Since opening in Asbury Park in 2008, ReVision Theatre has been praised for mounting professional theatrical productions for the diverse communities of Asbury Park, surrounding areas and beyond.
In 2011, The Star Ledger awarded Revision Theatre a “NJ Tony” for best musical to our east coast premiere of The Break Up Notebook . In 2010 we garnered 3 “NJ Tonys” for our productions of The Who’s Tommy and The Bikinis .
Our spring 2009 production of Kingdom was cited by The Star-Ledger as “Best Musical” and its author Aaron Jafferis, “Best Book” of New Jersey’s professional theaters.
Our 2010 production of The Who’s Tommy was nominated for an Asbury Music Award as “The Coolest Thing to Happen in Asbury Park.” ReVision Theatre was the recipient of journalist Philip Dorian’s 2008 Normy Award for “Achievement in Theatre” and the 2009 Asbury Park Chamber of Commerce “Carousel Award” for Economic Development.
